Hungary is in the geometrical center of Europe, so Hungarians prefer to think of it as being in the heart of Europe, rather than Eastern Europe.
Hungary has a dry continental climate. All of the four seasons, there is not too much rain, and the temperature can be extremely cold in the winter, in January -15 C, while in the summer it can rise above 30 – 35 C.
Hungarian families are friendly, welcoming and family oriented, they follow a strict daily schedule. After school or work people do sports or other free time activities and try to spend as much time with their families as they can. Hungarian people tend to express their warm welcome toward a guest (including the exchange student) by offering food. Attending school regularly is an important part of the program. You will enjoy your experience in Hungary, where you will find a new family, a new school.
The program is looking for motivated, open hearted participants, eager to learn about different culture.
