AFS New Zealand offers both a traditional and an intensive high school exchange programme. Participants live with volunteer host families across the North and South Islands and attend local high schools (referred to as ‘colleges’). AFS Thailand’s program combines two living experiences: staying in a school dormitory on weekdays and with a host family during weekends and holidays. AFS Turkiye’s year program starts on the 1st or 2nd Friday of September, which is approximately 10 days before the beginning of the school year.
